Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Truki website, app, beta programmes and related services (“Truki”, “the Service”). By accessing or using Truki, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Early-stage product

Truki is currently in development and learning stage. Features, coverage, accuracy, availability and performance may change frequently. The Service may be offered as a beta, preview or test version and may be incomplete or interrupted.

What Truki provides

Truki is an HGV navigation and route planning support tool for UK drivers. It is designed to help with HGV-aware routing, vehicle profiles, multi-drop planning and driver-powered route intelligence.

Truki is a planning and support tool. It is not a replacement for legal road signs, official restrictions, transport law, operator compliance, or safe professional driving judgement.

Routing data and accuracy

Routes, warnings, road restrictions and navigation guidance provided by Truki may be incomplete, inaccurate or outdated.

Routing is planned using the TomTom API and other available road, mapping and restriction data sources. Third-party data may contain errors, omissions or delays. Temporary roadworks, new restrictions, weather, traffic and local conditions may not be reflected in real time.

You must not rely on Truki as the sole source of truth for whether a route is legal, safe or suitable for your vehicle.

Driver responsibility

The driver remains fully responsible at all times for:

  • Obeying road signs, traffic law and official restrictions.
  • Complying with vehicle dimensions, weight limits, bridge heights, width limits and permit requirements.
  • Assessing road conditions, weather, visibility and site access.
  • Using professional judgement before and during every journey.
  • Verifying that any proposed route is appropriate for the vehicle, load and journey context.

No guarantee of suitability

Truki does not guarantee that any route is HGV-suitable, restriction-free, fastest, shortest, or appropriate for your delivery schedule. Community reports and automated routing may be wrong, outdated or missing.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Truki and its operators are not responsible for any fines, penalties, vehicle damage, missed deliveries, delays, accidents, unsuitable routes, lost profits, business interruption, or other losses arising from or related to your use of, or reliance on, the Service.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted availability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is not permitted.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Truki in a way that breaks the law or encourages unsafe driving.
  • Submit false, misleading or malicious route reports or feedback.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload or disrupt the Service.
  • Use the Service while distracted in a manner that impairs safe control of a vehicle.
  • Misrepresent Truki as an official authority or guaranteed compliance tool.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or the Service is being misused.

Service availability

We do not guarantee continuous access to Truki. Maintenance, outages, beta limitations, third-party failures and network issues may affect availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

Third-party services

Truki depends on third-party services such as TomTom and other data, hosting or platform providers. Your use may be subject to their terms and technical limitations. We are not responsible for third-party outages or changes outside our control.

Intellectual property

Truki branding, software, website content and materials are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. You must not copy, resell or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted.

Feedback and reports

If you submit route feedback, reports or suggestions, you grant us permission to use that content to operate, improve and develop Truki, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply.
